{Re-Play Thursday} Footloose by Blake Shelton

"Footloose" by Blake Shelton

This may turn into a movie review and little bit of swooning over Blake Shelton but I don't care. I am a HUGE skeptic of movie remakes and even more so of song remakes. Both versions are just amazeballs. I LOVED the movie and LOVED the song! (Well the whole soundtrack was pretty killer.) I watched the movies in sections when I was traveling to Michigan to visit/meet my new nephew....wait for it....

Everyone together now! "Awwwwww!" Yes. I know. He is just perfect.

Well plane rides + a new Ipad = much needed movies to surpass the time! Footloose was the numero uno in the selection process so I was excited. I had heard the remake of the song before thanks to the world wide web and I was so happy it was Blake Shelton who was chosen to do it. I mean look at this guy!

Soooo dreamy. Anyway. The movie was JUST great. I loved that they stuck to the original story and modified it to how they should have. Personally I think Willard stole the show. He was hilarious! Plus you cannot replace The Baconator so Ren couldn't have been my favorite ;) The music in the movie was fun and upbeat and I was only disappointed that I didn't see it in theaters like I wanted to! If you haven't seen it and are a fan of the original, rent it!

"Footloose"
(originally by Kenny Loggins)

Ooooh-oh-oh
Ooooh-oh-oh
Yeah
Ooooh-oh-oh
Ooooo-oh-oh
Ooooo-oh-oh

I Been working so hard
I'm punching my card
Eight hours for what
Oh, tell me what I got
I get this feeling
Times just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town

Tonight I gotta cut loose, footloose
Kick off your Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose

You're playing so cool
Obeying every rule
Deep way down in your heart
You're burning yearning for some
Somebody to tell you
That life ain't passing you by
I'm trying to tell you
It will if you don't even try
You'll get by if you'd only

Cut loose, footloose
Kick off the Sunday shoes
Oo-wee Marie, shake it, shake it for me
Woah, Milo, come on, come on let's go
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose.

Ooooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Ooooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Ooooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Oooooooooh

We've got to turn you around
And put your feet on the ground
Now take a hold of your soul

I'm turning it loose

Footloose, kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose
(Footloose) footloose

Kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut

(Everybody) everybody cut footloose!

xoxo
